The state controls King Island to the foreshore and prohibits dogs on the island. Under council’s local laws, dogs are not allowed at Wellington Point between 9am and 4pm on weekends and public holidays. Dogs are not allowed at the designated swimming beach, playground and picnic area.

Walking out to the Island The walk itself to King Island Brisbane is only about 1klm ( One Way) and you can casually walk there in 20 minutes on the sand. Once you get to the Island you have the choice of walking down the right hand side or through the middle. Go one way out and one way in to get some variety.
