Two years after Corypheus’ defeat, the Inquisitor can meet Blackwall (who is now calling himself Thom Rainier again) before meeting the Exalted Council.

Blackwall was introduced as a Grey Warden, but it is later revealed that this is a ruse. He is in fact a man named Thom Rainier who, while working as an Orlesian captain, allowed a family to be massacred. While on the run he was recruited to the Grey Wardens by the real Warden-Constable Blackwall.

Blackwall has left the Inquisition. It appears to have something to do with the impending execution of a man called Mornay, one of the soldiers responsible for the Callier massacre.
