Product Description. Dynatrol I XL is a moisture-curing, single-component non-sag polyurethane sealant. It is designed to maintain an effective bond and seal between materials of similar and dissimilar surfaces, porosities and coefficients of expansion.

Is Dynatrol paintable?

Although Dynatrol™ I-XL is considered a paintable sealant, due to variability in paint products and their raw materials, installation conditions, installation tech niques, as well as primers, it is required that the contractor who applies paint, pretest paint on sealant to determine suitability.

Is Dynatrol XL paintable?

Paintability: Dynatrol® I-XL Hybrid may be painted with a high quality moisture permeable coating once a tough skin has developed (30-60 minutes).

What is Dymonic FC used for?

Typical applications for Dymonic FC include expansion and control joints, precast concrete panel joints, perimeter caulking (windows, door, panels), EIFS, aluminum, masonry and vinyl siding. Dymonic FC is fast curing with a skin time of 60 min and a tack-free time of 3 to 4 hr to significantly reduce dirt attraction.

Can Dymonic 100 be painted?

Although Dymonic 100 is paintable, this does not imply adhesion to and compatibility with all paints. Consult Tremco Technical Bulletin No. S-09-05 for more information. Dymonic 100 typically adheres to common construction substrates without primers; anodized aluminum may require the use of primer.

Is it OK to caulk over caulk?

Removing the old caulk and replacing it with a new bead of caulk instead usually creates a better seal. However, you can effectively caulk over caulk as long as the bottom layer of caulk isn’t damaged or moldy. The old caulk should also be clean, dry, and free of oil for the best adhesion.

Why is my caulk peeling off?

Most caulks are made of acrylic or silicone material which are not weather-proof. These caulks get affected by both extremely wet and dry settings and wear off. Showers are extremely damp areas and hence peeling of caulk is a common issue.

Why is new caulking peeling off?
