It’s not exceptionally difficult, but I would do some non-verbal reasoning practice beforehand. It’ll help.
Are you allowed a calculator in UKMT?

Can you use a calculator for UKMT senior?
No calculators are allowed. The senior challenge is a 90-minute paper. All candidates begin with 25 marks and either gain four marks for a correct answer, or lose one mark for an incorrect answer. Guessing is not an option.
How many marks is the UKMT?

How many questions are on the intermediate maths challenge?
In this challenge students are required to apply mathematical reasoning, along side basic mathematical techniques to answer 25 multiple-choice questions only. Duration: 60 minutes. Question:1 – 15 you will recieve 5 marks per correct answer. BUT, lose 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
