Since 2012, we have offered the 6-year Integrated Programme (IP) to high-ability boys and girls, where they spend 4 years in their respective secondary schools before moving to VJC for two years before attempting the GCE ‘A’ Levels. How do you earn 2 CCA points?
For a student to score two bonus CCA points — which is the maximum — the basic requirements are a Level 3 for three domains, and a Level 4 for one domain. It’s easy to score a Level 4 in the Participation domain.
Does CCA matter in JC?
For both junior college and polytechnic schools, CCA participation is not compulsory but they do encourage students to take part in one. They see CCA as a great way to cultivate a student’s skills that they can’t easily do in a classroom set-up.

In general, students who are Chinese/Malay/Indian in ethnicity are required to study their respective MTL. There is, however, flexibility in the implementation of the MTL policy. Students who are Eurasians or of mixed parentage may apply to offer any of the 3 official MTL.
