What happened to 3D TV?
Fewer and fewer 3D TVs were sold and soon TV manufacturers stopped making them. Vizio stopped production in 2014 and was followed by others. In January 2017, the last two major television manufacturers still producing 3D televisions, Sony and LG, announced they would stop all 3D support.
How can I watch 3D TV?
You need a 3D TV or video projector, a 3D-enabled Blu-ray Disc player, and some 3D-compatible Blu-ray discs. If you want to watch 3D content via HD cable or satellite, you need a 3D-compatible box and a subscription to 3D channels. You need to wear glasses to watch 3D. However, these aren’t the cheap paper glasses.
Does a 4K TV play 3D?
4K UHD TV has four times the resolution of Full HD (1080p) TV. If in the future, 4K UHD 3D movies are produced, then you can play 4K 3D movies on big screen 4K TV which will deliver an authentic 4K 3D movie image quality not possible with a common 3D HDTV.
Is my LG TV 3D capable?

How can I watch 3D on my normal TV?
Check whether your TV supports the 3D output signal of the output device.
- Press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Select TV.
- Select Picture & Display.
- Select 3D settings.
- Select 3D signal notification.
- Under 3D signal notification, select On.
