eKey users with an Android device or iPhone running iOS 9 will still be able to use Touch-to-Open to lock and unlock Kevo. We’re pleased to share that Touch-to-Open® functionality is fully restored with Apple’s iOS 10.0.
Does Kevo work with Apple Watch?
Yes – Kevo works with the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch will only display notifications from Kevo to instantly inform on who comes and goes.

The Kwikset App is available for free download from Google Play or App Store by searching for “Kwikset” and installing the “Kwikset Smart Lock App”.
Does Apple have smart lock?

Add the lock to the Home app on your iPhone. Choose an unlocking option. Express Mode: Unlock the door just by holding your iPhone or Apple Watch near the lock. Require Face ID or Passcode: Hold your device near the lock, then use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock it.
Is Kevo free?
Starting February 1st Anytime eKeys, which were previously a $1.99 in-app purchase, are completely free. Any Kevo users who download the updated version of the Android app will be able to issue Anytime eKeys to their family, friends, and neighbors at no cost.
How do I connect my Kwikset lock to my Iphone?
Press the “A” button in the upper left corner for ~10 seconds (the clearing process will be signaled with a beep). This will clear any previous pairings from the lock. Restart the “Add Lock” process within the Premis App, and you should be able to “find” your lock and complete the pairing process.

On the eve of CES 2022, Schlage unveiled an updated version of the Encode smart lock that ties in Apple Home Keys. The Schlage Encode Plus Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt will work with Apple’s Home Key feature in Apple Wallet. We’ve reviewed the original Schlage Encode Wi-Fi Deadbolt, and found it to be stylish and reliable.
Does Kevo need wifi?
Kevo Smart Lock does require an internet connection for initial lock setup (with the mobile app), account login, sending eKeys, Scheduled and Guest ekey use, as well as history and notifications.
