The commonly stated range of human hearing is 20 to 20,000 Hz.

Is 30hz good for a sub?

A subwoofer should certainly offer useful response to below 30 Hz. A modest bookshelf speaker can likely respond to a 30 Hz signal, but will reproduce it at such a low level that no one would hear it. A true subwoofer should be able to produce a peak level of at least 90 dB at 30 Hz.

Can you hear sound below 20 Hz?

Sound at 20-200 Hz is called low-frequency sound, while for sound below 20 Hz the term infrasound is used. The hearing becomes gradually less sensitive for decreasing frequency, but despite the general understanding that infrasound is inaudible, humans can perceive infrasound, if the level is sufficiently high.

Where do you cut low frequencies?

How To Cut And Keep The Low End Frequencies

  • Put a high-pass (low-cut) filter on all the tracks, including the bass and kick. This is a fantastic idea!
