Does Discovery Cove sell out?
Discovery Cove is typically sold out most days and the other parks frequently close their gates due to capacity. If you are planning a day at Discovery Cove I do highly recommend booking sooner than later.
What time can you enter Discovery Cove?
Discovery Cove is a full day adventure with waterways open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily. Please plan to arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. If you’re participating in 3 or more add-on experiences during your visit to Discovery Cove, please plan to arrive by 7:30am for check-in and proper scheduling of your day.

Is Discovery Cove owned by Sea World?
Discovery Cove is part of SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment. But this is a different kind of park that gets you in the water to enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences. You can swim with dolphins, fish and rays, feed birds and kick back on pristine beaches.
Is alcohol free at Discovery Cove?
All of your meals are included at Discovery Cove. But that’s not all: Snacks, beverages and even alcoholic drinks are completely free throughout the day. Get there early so you can relax and enjoy a big breakfast.
Do you keep the wetsuits from Discovery Cove?
You wear your own swimwear underneath the wetsuit. Discovery Cove provide sun cream as well which is animal friendly. over a year ago. Having literally just returned from Orlando and our day at Discovery Cove, the only time you need to wear a wetsuit is for the Sea Venture experience.
Can you arrive to Discovery Cove late?
Personal cameras are allowed throughout the park but NOT in the dolphin pool. You should also skip jewelry for the day. If there are non participants in your group they can take photos of you from behind on the beach during the dolphin interaction. You are welcome to arrive whenever you want.
What shoes should I wear to Discovery Cove?
You can use water shoes. We wore flip flops which worked and also bare feet. Discovery Cove is sandy and most are walking around in bare feet.
What is the best month to go to Discovery Cove?
Discovery Cove is open year round although water temperatures vary depending on the month you visit. I recommend visiting April through November for warmer water temperatures. The freshwater pools include Wind Away River, Freshwater Oasis and Serenity Bay.

Remember not to wear jewelry to the park. Only wedding bands and waterproof watches are allowed. Other jewelry, like earrings, necklaces and bracelets, are not allowed for the safety of the animals.
Can my 5 year old swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove?
Children must be 6 years of age or older to Swim with Dolphins, Feed Rays, and participate in Animal Trek. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a paying and participating companion age 14 or older. Children must be 10 years of age or older to Swim with Sharks or participate in SeaVenture.
Does Discovery Cove include alcohol?
Unlimited Food and Beverages. Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast, gourmet lunch, and endless snacks and drinks, including beer and wine. When we say Discovery Cove food and beverages are all inclusive, we mean exactly that.
Can the stingrays at Discovery Cove sting you?
You can only bend over from the waist and look at the stingrays, but the nice thing here is you get to touch them and see their beautiful and captivating eyes. You won’t get stung – their barbs are removed, and the reason they have you stay on your feet is because the rays are big and can knock you around.
Is the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove worth it?
Discovery Cove has several optional extras including swimming with dolphins and sharks or feeding sting rays. We did the Dolphin Swim. And, it was absolutely worth the extra cost! We had plenty of dolphin interaction time.

Can you bring your own sunscreen to Discovery Cove?
We do provide a SPF 30 animal friendly sunscreen but we do not require our Guests to use this. For situations such as your you are more than welcome to bring the own sunscreen you normally use. As far as water shoes this is a personal choice.
Can you bring beach toys to Discovery Cove?
How to prepare: what to bring? Typical Beach Day: Your packing list includes: chairs, towels, umbrella, toys, snorkel, goggles, binoculars, sunscreen, cooler full of drinks, snacks and/or lunch. Hopefully your car has room for everything and everyone.
Do you need a day bed at Discovery Cove?
Comfortable Day Beds tucked within lush landscaping and alongside pristine beaches provide a special place to relax and unwind when not in the water exploring. Park admission is not included & is required.
