How do teachers use Plickers?

Plickers allows you to check in on student understanding. With the data collected you can inform your instruction for a follow up class or in real time. Students stay engaged as they watch to see if their card was scanned, and their answer displayed. The cards can either be bought online or downloaded and printed.

How do Plicker cards work?

Students will provide their answers by holding up their Plickers cards and orientating them in a certain way. The Plickers mobile app is then used to scan the cards to collect student answers, and to control the session by revealing correct choices and moving through questions within a Set.

How do I organize my Plickers?

Clicking on an item in your Library or a Pack will select it. Hold down the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple items at once. Move your selected items to a Folder or Pack using drag & drop. You can also right-click on your selection or use the right-side preview panel to access additional actions.

Will Plickers work on Zoom?

Although some teachers have reported success using Plickers Cards over Zoom, we recommend using Plickers E-Learning as it’s been designed from the ground up for live remote learning.

Can I laminate Plickers cards?

To ensure that the Plickers app reads the cards quickly and easily, we’d recommend printing on white paper or cardstock. You can also laminate the cards to make them more durable, but try to avoid laminating if you don’t have a matte option.

How do I view live results on Plicker tool?

  1. Log in to plickers.com on your laptop/computer.
  2. Click on the Class you’d like to work with (from the left-hand sidebar) You’ll be taken to your Class homepage.
  3. Scroll down to the ‘Latest Reports’ heading.
  4. For more Reports, click ‘See all Class Reports’ on the right.
  5. Select the Report you want to view.

What is the difference between a pack and a set in Plickers?

Packs are on the same hierarchical level as Your Library, so a single Set cannot exist in both. You can move Sets between Your Library and your Packs by simply dragging-and-dropping within plickers.com.

How do you create a question on Plickers?

  1. Log in to plickers.com on your laptop/computer. You’ll arrive at your Plickers homepage (specifically, Your Library).
  2. Select the ‘New Set’ button in the top left-hand corner. You’ll be taken to the Set Editor, where you can start creating your questions.

Can you use Plickers for distance learning?

Yes! In Now Playing on the Plickers website, you can choose between: Cards Mode – standard Now Playing view – use when all students are participating in-person via cards. E-Learning Mode – private teacher view – use when all students are participating remotely via E-Learning.

Can Plickers be used for remote learning?

Plickers E-Learning can be used even if your class is split between face-to-face and remote learning. This means you’ll be able to collect some answers by scanning cards, and the rest from your students learning remotely, all at the same time.
